Europe 2007
We completed an 18 day trip through Germany, Austria, and Hungary. Our first leg of the trip in Munich was spent with our friends from Cologne, Germany. We toured the Marienplatz, adjusted our body clocks, and played in a near-by park. We drove on through the German and Austrian country side to Northern Hungary where we unpacked, unwound, and prepared for Cousin Eva’s wedding. We stayed with Uncle Matt and Aunt Irene who again opened their home for our two week invasion. We pushed south to Pecs, Hungary to participate and witness Eva’s wedding to Tamas. Allison was the ring bearer during the legal and church ceremonies and proved to be a dancing diva as the night wore on beyond midnight. As we returned north, many drop-in, drop-by visits with family kept us well entertained. Aunt Irene played tour coordinator as we visited two landmarks that we hadn’t seen in previous trips. After a rough day of traveling home with five lost bags and two too close to call flight connections, we arrived in the USA. As I share with everyone, it is wonderful to see family and friends abroad, but it is also nice to be home.
