On my return flight from Washington DC, I was able to stay over in Denver for a 30 hour visit with Steven and his family. It had been a year since our last visit, so it was great to get caught-up on life's current events, play with Gia, and celebrate the fantastic news of Jay expecting their second child in September 2008! It's a great feeling knowing the bond Steve and I cultivated during the odd teenage years (1981-1987) and polished during the college years (1987-1990) has forever kept us connected. I always enjoy the fact that six months, one year, 18 months can go by with little interaction, but when we sit down at the dining room table, it's like we never separated. It's a friendship that can be classified as eternal and for that ... I am grateful!
