Alex health update

Today, we received great news about Alex’s digestive health. The round of heavy-duty antibiotics he took in March cleared the bacteria in his large intestine. In six weeks time, Alex has gained 1.5 pounds and he has moved up the average weight chart from 4% to 10% for boys his age. To you, these might seem like minor points of data, but these are major conclusions with exuberant costs. This news rules out a diagnosis of Celiac Disease and then need for exploratory surgery. We are thankful our frequent trips to the lab and hospital will be put on hold indefinitely. His next check-up will be in August.
