The kids used their binoculars to see up river. I thought it was interesting to see Allison resting her elbows up-high to brace herself and Alex doing the same thing, but at his level.
After a quick snack and short-lived water play (it was so cold, just ask Alex), we got back on trail. This area of the river was littered with volcanic rock, which made for the perfect picture setting.
